About Me
Whether you’re buying or selling – I know what you’re facing. I’ve been there myself many times.
I got my start in real estate because of my Comanche heritage. My great grandmother showed me how to work hard and not take no for an answer. She got an education back when women – particularly Native-Americans – didn’t do that. And she was an entrepreneur.
When I was 22, I received a $3,000 settlement from the government in restitution for land taken from the Comanches. My Dad pushed me to do something lasting with the money, so I bought a little house that needed a lot of work. Although I was still in school and also had a full-time job, I worked long hours on the house to turn it into a real home. To this day, I go back and visit old friends in the neighborhood.
The rest is, as they say, history. Since then I’ve bought and sold many houses, including renovating fixer-uppers for resale. (Tip: Flipping is not for the faint-of-heart and it’s often not easy money, despite what television may lead you to believe.)
I was born in Albuquerque and my family has lived in the area for many years – so I can give you the insider perspective on buying and selling real estate here. I also know the “selling secrets” that will help you attract buyers (It’s not rocket science – just a lot of experience with all kinds of deals.) And, I’ve helped many people avoid foreclosure. I love working with first-time buyers, and over the years, I’ve helped many move on to buy their fourth or even fifth home.
